The SKF Heavy Duty Truck Universal U-Joints are engineered for maximum operating life. The labyrinth sealing system is constructed in metal, rubber and Nylatron (a reinforced nylon material) which extends the life of the universal joint by providing maximum grease retention and dirt exclusion. The one way check valve in each trunnion controls lubrication flow and prevents dry start-up.

Cap needle bearings are heat treated and have spherical ends to adjust for load variations. The cap leading edge is set at a six degree angle for ease of installation. Each cup contains an intregal thrust pad positioned to absorb the various thrust and shock loads found in Heavy Duty applications. Intregal grease channels allow for 360 degree grease distribution at all times.
